The West Side Sportsman’s Club is located on the west side of Evansville about 2 1⁄2 miles north of the W. Lloyd Expressway (SR62) at 1000 N. Peerless Road.
The easiest way to get to the club is to turn north off "the Lloyd" onto Schutte Road and follow it north to the club. 0.2 miles north of the Lloyd there is a stop sign. Here Schutte Road is renamed Peerless Road but do not let this bother you- just continue straight (north) through the intersection on Peerless.
From the west, Schutte Road is 0.7 miles east of the Eichkoff Road overpass. Eichkoff Road is the entrance to the University of Southern Indiana. When you see the big USI sign on the south side of the road get in the left lane because the next stop light is Schutte Road and you will need to turn left (north).
From the east, Schutte Road is about 7 miles west of US41. As you begin to clear the stop light sanctuary that is Evansville, you will see a Lowe’s on your right. Schutte Road is 2 more stoplights and 1.5 miles west of Lowe’s. The next stop light you encounter will be Boehne Camp Road- continue west. 1.1 miles west of Boehne Camp Road is the Schutte Road stop light. Here turn right (north). Be careful to turn at the actual stop light on top of the hill and not the advance traffic signal warning sign that says Schutte Road located at the bottom of the hill.
Once going north on Schutte Road, it is smooth sailing- just proceed north 2 1⁄2 miles, cross the railroad tracks, and turn left into the West Side Sportsman’s Club. Once Shutte becomes Peerless, you will encounter a second stop sign 1.5 miles to the north- continue straight through this intersection as well. Go another 0.7 miles to the north where you will cross the CSX railroad tracks. The West Side Sportsman’s Club is located just to the north of these tracks. Turn left (west) into the club.
